On Monday December 1, the regular Joey Scouts meeting will be held at Tamworth Skatepark to complete elements of the vertical and bikeriding Stage 1 Outdoor Adventure Skills badges. 

WEAR: Joey Scout uniform including scarf, hat, suncream, enclosed shoes

BRING: Water bottle, snack, bike or scooter, helmet

OAS Elements being addressed:

Vertical Stage 1

• I have been to a rock playground and know how to play safely and cooperatively with others

Bike Riding Stage 1

• I can explain what clothing I should wear whilst riding. 
• I can put on my own helmet properly. 
• Before I start riding, I can show where and when I am allowed to go. 
• I have explained what impact I can have on local vegetation when riding  
• I can protect myself when exposed to the weather while outdoors. 
• I have taken part in a skills activity on safe enclosed area 
• I can ride my bike in a straight line. 
• I have taken part in an at least 2 bike rides (this will be 1 - JS are encouraged to participate in another with their families)
• I have discussed the appropriate action I should take in the case of an accident
