On Monday March 16, the regular Joey Scouts meeting will be held at Tamworth Bicentennial Park to complete elements of the Bushwalking Stage 1 Outdoor Adventure Skills badges. 
Parents are encouraged/welcome to join us. 

START: Hopscotch Restauraunt @5pm

END: Fitzroy end of Bicentennial Park @6pm

WEAR: Joey Scout uniform including scarf, hat, suncream, enclosed shoes

BRING: Backpack with water bottle & snack

OAS Elements being addressed:

• • Pack a backpack for a day walk;
  • dress for a daywalk;
  • list food to take on a bushwalk;
  • know why it's important to stick to trails
  • know why to stop when lost;
  • explain the buddy system.
  • go on at least 1 bushwalk of an hour duration;
  • demonstrate safe behaviour bushwalking.
  • talk about what I learnt or enjoyed from going on a bushwalk.
